Ready to fulfill your dreams of becoming a firefighter?  We're looking for like- minded individuals who identify with our ideals and can carry out our mission statement in each and every interaction with the citizens of our great community.

Minimum Qualifications

​​​​​

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED

​

  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application​

​

  • Must possess valid Class D driver's license at time of application

​​

  • Must possess a current Arizona State Certified Emergency Medical Care Technician (EMCT) or Paramedic or Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

​​

  • Must have a current CPAT certification within the last year OR currently working as a firefighter in the Phoenix automatic aid system and graduate from a regionally accredited fire academy

2 Step Application Process

Step 1: Must register with City of Goodyear by            August 19, 2024 - 5:00 pm MT 

Step 2: Test with Public Safety Answers before
August 19, 2024 - 5:00 pm MT
