Ready to fulfill your dreams of becoming a lateral firefighter?  We're looking for like minded individuals who identify with our ideals and can carry out our mission statement in each and every interaction with citizens of our great community. 

Minimum Requirements

  • ​​​​Valid Driver's License

  • Currently enrolled in 1977 INPRS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • State of Indiana Firefighter I and II certification

  • State of Indiana EMT-B or higher certification​​

Service Credit

  • ​​​​1 year for every 2 years served as a career firefighter​​

    • (Max 8 Years credit)​

  • Credited years count toward:​

    • ​Longevity

    • PTO accrual

    • Promotional process
